hey, this is my 1st post on the forum. I been around here looking at this site for about year and loved it. Gave me some good advice and tips. Wanted to say thanks.

Recently my grandfather passed. We been cleaning out his home. And I found this 1/2 Cornwell ratchet. It has no marking/data sign. I took it home and cleaned it out. It has 30 tooth gear system. I keep searching this forum and with google. No luck finding this ratchet. Im guessing around 60s? Any help thanks

Welcome to the forum, it is nice to belong to something where everyone enjoys the same things. sorry for your loss, i am fearing the day when i lose my grandpa. i can't really help you with a date on the ratchet, but i can tell you that i have several, they are some of the toughest ratchets, and your grandpa had good taste in tools. Again welcome. :)

Cornwell hasn't changed there design in a while. So it may be tough to tell the exact age. There are a few cornwell freaks ( in a good way ) in here that will help you out.

I know a Brad G. Where are you located?

Wow another Buckeye fan in my backyard!!!Welcome to the GJ,try looking at the alloy artifacts home page they might have some more information. I love those ratchets and even though they are made in the great state of "AHIA" it would seem that even a simple phone call to Cornwell will not yield any information,(they are very nice on the phone) but clueless on dates and time frames...

Old Cornwell pretty much looks like new Cornwell. I bought these in 2010. That's a SR-50.
