Hey everyone!

My name is Joe. I've been registered here for some time (7/10) but on recently began posting. I'm what I would call a "renewed newbie" to all things tools and such.

Growing up my grandfather (I was raised by my maternal grandparents) was your typical wrench. He raced for years in the 60's and 70's, owned a Union 76 station (some of you old schoolers from Dayton might know it) and was a "fix it until it can't be fixed type" of guy. He taught me a lot about tools and how to use them but as I got older my interests went a different direction and I've lost most of it.

These days I have a home with an attached 24'x11' one car. I have started building a tool collection and am working to acquire what I need both in physical items and knowledge to start doing as much DIY as possible. In fact, this week I should be snagging his old box that is older than I am at 34! I BELIEVE it is a 44" wide but I haven't measured nor have I looked at the manufacturer yet.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and look forward to learning from everyone. :rocker:
