Good ratchet for $1. Did you clean and lube it up or did it come that way?

I have a similar Proto ratchet and I flipped the gear so that the anvil and the switch were on opposite sides of the head.

I came across 2 of these in a toolbox. Still have one of them. If I'm not mistaken, the SAB designation means it was for the military. Does it have a greenish color to the finish? I was able to find more information about it using sa-51 as the search. Nice find tho, looks to be in pristine condition!

The B = black oxide.
Most ratchet manufacturers toss a B in the pn# if it's black oxide finish.
SAB-51 is the model number
