Just picked up this delta Milwaukee bandsaw with 2 new extra blades for $10. Anybody have one like this?

I also grabbed a craftsman belt drive belt/disc sander for $10

I believe that size (14"?) Delta bandsaw was popular for many years, my high school woodshop had one and I've seen quite a few on this site. Enjoy!

It does have the rip fence. I haven't run it. There is no plug on the end. Maybe the previous owner had it direct wired?

It's from a private estate sale.
I also got a box lot with a wood workers vise and a couple planes and a bunch of other stuff including 3 older looking table saw miter gauges for $15.

Is this saw 110 volt?

I have the wood/metal cutting model I got for 75.00 at a garage sale. It has a gear reduction box/pulley system for slow speed cutting. Check out Rockler.com, there are all types of accessories, blades etc. for these saws. Due to the age, I would definitley put on a new set of urethane tires on it and also check the bearings on the wheels. And oh yea-you ****!

It looks pretty easy to adjust the belts on the pulleys. I thought about reselling it but its just so nice. So clean inside. I love the fence - geared knob to move it. And it's such a small footprint on the garage floor.

**** **** SUCKY **** ****!!!

Unbelievable price. They are tanks, and every part is still available, at least as a modern replacement.

If the tires are not cracked and are still soft, they'll be ok. But new urethane would be sweet. There are a ton of upgrades and tweeks for that saw, but it will run great totally stock. Take the time to align it and it will serve you well. you could afford to add upgrades given the purchase price.

$300-$450 for one in good condition and running is pretty fair price. I buy them in the low $100's to fix up pretty consistently.

You ****!! Be proud!

Killer deal on a great saw. They're still copied by everyone to this day. For $10 it was a steal. I just finished replacing bearings and tires on a Rockwell version of this saw. Check out my site if you want to see what is involved in doing that: http://somanyhobbies.wordpress.com/ It's a couple posts down. If you decide to go through it feel free to ask questions or head over to owwm.org. They love old wood working machines.

Yep you ****. The Delta 14" bandsaw is practically iconic and they run about $700 new.

The top of the line was a thouand dollars. Black and decker bought out delta and no longer make the Delta band saw like that. The have gone to a welded frame like so many others. Delt has really gone down hill. Grizzly and Jet both make them and they are better and much cheaper than the Delta.
I have one but not that old.

You stole that old iron. WOW Woodwroking michenery is very cheap right not on the used market but that was a steal and you you should be ashamed for stealing it. LOL Way to go. You can find them for $100 to $300 for any age in good shape but $10. You spent more on gas picking it up. Way to go.

Even if you have to replace the motor, tires, etc. its a steal, worth more than $10 at the scrap yard! I think you can get new blades @HD.
