I was visiting with my grandpa last week and helped him clean out his garage. I found a set of these wrenches and he said I could have them.

Does anybody recognize these or are they hard to find?

Good save - are there any numbers on the sides of the wrenches, besides the sizes? They would be the part numbers. Might be able to better identify their date of mfr., use, value, etc.

Back in the day they were bought out by a furniture company that made the Barcalounger chair. Some GJ members love them and from what I am told it is fun to put together a collection of their tools. Not long ago I found some of their wrenches but I don't collect them, (too many names, not enough money and now out of room an old story!).

Gort, thanks for the site. I found a lot of information on this company.

Mike, the numbers on the wrench pictured are the only markings on it. But I did find out that they made this certain design, Convex Open End Wrench, from 1938-1945.

That's a nice old set. They show up at flea markets all the time, but I haven't seen a set so complete. As I see it, they are still good to use....
