I have an old belt-driven grinder, made almost from scratch by my great-grandpa. Of course, the bearings are shot. The bearings have a lip on either side and are held in by these 2 metal brackets. One was held in by JBweld. My question is, can I take the shaft collar (bottom left of picture) and put one on either side of the new bearings to keep them in place? The bearings are RF102214PP.

True, I'm going by Tractor Supply tomorrow to get some collars. Also, the model bearing I was looking at was about $20 a piece! I ended up ordering some alternative bearings with the same dimensions, should be here later this week.
