Have a couple of old screwdrivers that probably came from an auction. I know the handles were in in good shape when I got them, but they have greatly deteriorated since.

Both are similar, the end of the handle had a threaded plug and a spring underneath it. Kind of reminded me of a test light. One side of the handle had a semi-circular cut into it.

One is about a 4.5" shaft and marked
"Blue Point 145
Made in USA"

The other is about a 3" shaft and marked "BONNEY Made in USA"

Is there anything special about these, anything I can do to preserve them at this point, or does anyone want them?

Computer is being a POS, so will try to add pics in another entry

Those guys are goners. Some old style plastic handles don't do too well with moisture, changing temperature and simply age. They can get brittle. Those may have been in some water but I've seen everything from old Craftsman amber handles to Snap On and in between that looked like that, just crumbling.
Not much you can do.
