Old breaker bars.

Looking at my Snap On (f-10-hg) next to some others it looks awful skinny. Could the alloy have been that much better than Indestro Super ( which someone had put a pipe on, mashed all the knurling and it's still tight as new) or did they just make it extra thin for whatever reason?
The Craftsman is be series and a little bent but still good enough to use.

That is possible, or just a lower factor of safety. Unless you did a sample pull you really wouldn't know for sure.

I tugged on the snappy pretty hard but not quite maximum I'd pull before switching to 1/2 drive.
The Craftsman, I did pull to my maximum comfortable level ( in the opposite direction of bend) and it didn't bend back .

When I say sample pull I mean a tensile test to plot the mechanical characteristics of the alloy they used.
