Im in the middle of haggling with a gentleman for an old buffalo drill press with a newer motor (1/2 hp) . its an old floor model wich works , but its missing the table. it seems to have all the 'carriage' that rides up and down the post. but its missing the main tilting table.. is this something that is attainable? im waiting back on an eemail from him with exact model and serial number

Not likely you're going to get a new one anywhere. Possibly you can adapt a used one from a common Delta, etc. that is being parted out. Otherwise, you're looking at fabricating something.
Tables don't break very often, must have been tipped over, or some big crash. Possibly there is other damage?
The drill press should be real cheap without a table.

the guy wants 150 for it. he said it came out of a factory and the table was removed for whatever purpose the factory used it for.. other than some surface rust it seemed fine.. a long bit in the chuck seemed to run true when we turned it on. though i didnt try to crank it up and down the shaft.. the crank that moves the table up and down was there as far as i could see (ill be getting a closer look next saturday). its just the table part that is missing.. i found a link here http://www.bmt-usa.com/10.html for parts.. ive sent an email. but im not expecting to hear back for a few days.

ive been quoted 50 dollars from BMT for a used table with an arc of shame. ive requested a quote for a reproduction or used with less damage and waiting for a response.

I just got a Buffalo 18. You might want to be sitting down when you get the quote for a new table. Post some pics when you get 'er home.
