I found this old dolly cart on the curb in the neighborhood I’m currently working in. Not sure someone would toss it but I’m glad to get bc it’s something I usually restore and collect. I’m assuming with these casters there’s not a center bolt so I can disassemble and clean the bearings? All four have zerk fittings. I originally thought that center piece was just a cap but I don’t think it is. Maybe that’s the reason for the zerk bc the fork and bearing housing is one piece. If you recognize this or know something I don’t let me know. Thanks

Some people just don't appreciate "Good Stuff", even when it was free.
When they come to their sense of what is valuable, it will be too late to reclaim that dolly.

pretty sure it's riveted together . perhaps you could cut them off & replace them with bolts & lock nuts
I think you’re right, that’sa beefy rivet. In the past when I can’t get them apart to clean I use brake cleaner and that gets them as clean as taking them apart but I cleaned everything up a bit and shot a little grease in it to my surprise they took, then added a little oil and they’re good to go.

I cleaned one of the wheels looking for a stamp/embossing, found W 4110. No clue what that means yet but about to research it. I have a feeling someone might have mated the casters with the platform bc the welds aren’t terrible but not factory level but I really don’t know how good welds were back then. It measures 5”x1.5”
