I haven't looked through the catalogs in a while, but my faulty memory thinks that it was offered for a short time in the early 40’s.

Yes, in the early 1940's. It was the first drill press by King Seeley that Sears sold. The other drill presses were by Atlas. Then Sears went away from Atlas and sold the Craftsman 80/100 series by King Seeley.
