Old crafsman tool box

Hello all, I picked up this old craftsman tool box all the drawers are working and it has a small tray in the smaller drawer I don’t know the year of it maybe 60’s ? Anyone know the original color code I was thinking of painting it how ever I like the character of the box now any suggestions I feel if I paint it would ruin the value. Any one know the value of a old box like this one is

Nice acquisition! Can't help you with the color, though.

Mine had a silver grey hammerite kind of finish. Honestly, it looks like a light wipedown with thinner and a shot with some matte clear might be the way to go.

Have the same box, but with an older oval logo on it. Color ^^ as above. Find a side or back of a drawer that's pretty clean and match to that.

Thanks, it had a lot of surface rust took it off with still wool and acetone

any decent paint store can closely match the colour . all you need is a good sample to take in to them

Yes, hammered silver. The Crown tops were made in 58-59. Before that was the oval heritage badge, after was the Chevron V.

Pricing depends highly on your area. If close to me, I may be interested.
