Old thread!

I don’t have the key, but I haven’t had a need to lock it.

I still have this box and it’s used as an electrical tool box holding all related electrical tools. Still works and looks good!

This is my friends Grandfather's toolbox that he asked me to restore for him. I see that it was made by AMD, I'm assuming that the #58 on the tag means that that is the year it was made? Are there any reproduction pull handles available? These appear to be plastic and a couple have cracks. I read on previous posts to try/ use Rustoleum Hammered Gray. Any one have luck with that? Thanks everyone.

There are people 3D printing handles for Kennedy boxes, might find some AMD, or close enough, to replace all. (Might be able to get custom ones, like Gramps initials on them, saw similar in the past).. Just make sure the mounting method is correct.

Is that "tag" on the inside of the drawer face back of the Crown tag? that should be stamped into the drawer not a tag, is my experience.
,

Yes I have had good luck with a near perfect match on a mid fifties roller:
Thanks for the reply. I gave a closer look and yes you're correct. The "tag" is just stamped into the bottom drawer were the
"crown" Craftsman label is. I'll pick up some of that paint and test it. Thanks again!
