Old Craftsman Jigsaw...Scroll Saw(?)

Found this cool old Craftsman saw on facebook. Says its a Jig saw on the saw itself, but, I mean.. Thats a scroll saw, right? lol

They were asking $20. I'm picking it up tomorrow. They say it works, they just dont have a blade and dont know much about it. So guess I get to be surprised as well lol. Figured at that price, cant really go wrong with an old school Made in USA Craftsman. Anyone know anything about it?

Go look at the old Craftsman tool catalogs on the Vintage Machinery website and you'll see they called it a jig saw, but scroll saw is an equivalent name.

I believe the "jig" saw was originally for saws where the blade was powered only on one end (usually against a spring on the top) while a "scroll" saw powered the blade on both ends with a rocker beam top and bottom. In that case your saw would be a jig saw. Over the years the nomenclature sort of blended together with the emphasis on the job.
