Here's a Craftsman push-button socket extension that I bought back in 1995:
The lettering reads, "Craftsman USA 44292 EE U.S. PAT 4,962,682". Here's a Google Patents search for that patent number:
http://www.google.com/patents?ct=result&q="4,962,682"&btnG=Search+Patents
This particular design is something I find really handy. I find them quicker and easier to use than the newer Craftsman extensions with the knurled button you slide.
I'd like to buy some more 1/4". 3/8", and 1/2" push-button extensions like this, and would like to know if anyone is making them now. I've been watching for some of them for years and haven't noticed any. If anyone knows of any of the old Craftsman ones for sale anywhere, please let me know.
