Anybody ever seen these older thinner Craftsman Raised Panel Wrenches? My father owned these from the first time I can remember, back when his toolbox was an old ammo box that held every tool he owned. So these would have been from the 1960s or even 1950s. Shown in comparison is my 1/2" wrench that is from the mid 1970s. The older ones are much slimmer, and dare I say, a little more "lobsterclawish"

The last picture shows =V=

Yes, they are all marked =V=

I'm not sure where the 3/4" one has gone. The 3/8 disappeared when he got together with a few friends to dismantle an airplane back in the early 70s. It was replaced with the newer style. He also had some open ends which I couldn't find and some box ends of which I did find a couple. The box ends are marked -v-

I've got some of the thinner ones too, but I think some of mine have both -V- and =V= markings. I'll have to check. I suspect they had more than just one factory making them back in the day.

My father had a set of these when I was a kid in the 1960s... He kept them in his main toolbox in a green rollup pouch that my mother made for them from canvas until he bought his first rollaway boxes in the early 1970s on the farm...

Actually there appears to be at least three different widths, and that just with =V= series. the =V V= and =^V= are different still; some within the markings... I know I have some -V- series here somewhere, but not in 1/2 or 9/16 which is what I was digging out.

I'll get some pics maybe tomorrow, if the light is decent enough when I get home from work.
