Old Craftsman Sockets

Hello, I'm cleaning out some old toolboxes and I came across some old Craftsman sockets. They are knurled with crosshatch knurling. The only thing stamped into the socket is the size and Craftsman. Size is displayed 11-16 for 11/16. There is no BE or circle H following the Craftsman. I did a little research and found that there are some Craftsman sockets that don't have the BE marking and those sockets without BE may be older than those with the BE marking. Any information anyone out there has would be appreciated.

I did a little research and found that there are some Craftsman sockets that don't have the BE marking and those sockets without BE may be older than those with the BE marking.

Not may be, were. Your research source was correct. Early New Britain made, before Long C branding and BE or Circle-H markings, around the same time as the C-series, which also preceded the Long C branding.

Probably a set might be worth something, particularly if you have matching ratchets extensions etc..

If you have a complete set of that stuff, it's worth respectable money.
If it's onesie-twosies, you might be able to peddle them on ebay to somebody looking to complete a set.
I was thinking it possible they might be C-series, but I believe Private Lugnutz has nailed it there - early NB stuff.

Concur with OTG and 4c. They're not nearly as common as Long C, and they're not nearly as rare as C-series, but they're not nearly as desirable as those, either. Not buck a piece stuff, not gold, either.
