old craftsman table motor trouble

hello all I have an old craftsman motor that I cannot get back together. took it apart to clean and the back came off with out me seeing how it went together. hoping some has some ideas, any help would be appreciated. thanks!

That is the centrifugal starter switch, it is normally closed and opens when the motor reaches speed. The black bushing goes on the shaft with wide end down so that the two coil springs are on each side of it. You should be able to snap the switch by hand as if centrifugal force is doing it.

ok that makes sense, thanks for the help...the other question i have is where does the motor make contact? i dont see a plate that touches like your photo shows but there is an arm thats suppose to make contact with the wire lead.

Experiment! The bushing may go the other way, I think it hits the tab coming out from the terminal block.
