Old Craftsman Vise

I ended up with an old craftsman bench vise. I have found the numbers 5162 cast into the side of it and was wondering how good of a vise it is, and if anyone had a clue what color they were when new.

They are nice vises, they were made by Rock Island. Original color was gray or blue.

Is there any way to find out how old it is?
