Old Delta 14" bandsaw identification

This is cross posted to other sites.

I recently came across an old Delta 14" bandsaw that I think is a late 30's to early 40's vintage, but of course I have no proof except that I couldn't find any serial number plate and the badging is similar to my 768.

The upper blade guide is missing, or at least the one that is available appears to be homemade.

My challenge would be whether to proceed with a purchase. It's not like I need a third bandsaw but this one is a 14" and my others are 10".

The exact age makes little difference IMO. It's certainly a far better saw than a 10". Parts are available.

They were made mostly the same for many years. Might try at Old Woodworking Machines (OWWM). A lot of the parts will interchange.

That style badge was used 1941-1952.

@PoppaSki that bandsaw was made between 1939-41 only.
