Old Delta Drill Press

I inherited all of my grandfathers tools when he passed away a year ago. I am just now getting around to moving them from my grandmothers house to my shop. One of the items I picked up this weekend was an old delta benchtop drillpress. This thing is all cast iron and very heavy. I am hoping someone here can point me towards some information on it. Maybe an old manual or some pictures showing it all set up. Here is the problem though, it appears to be an oddball number. The only markings on it besides the delta name is DP 290. I can find alot of information on the DP 220 online but not the 290. What is confusing me is that in the cabinet the drill press was on, there was a whole drawer full of parts that appear to go with it. There are a number of pulleys, brackets, shafts, etc. I am trying to find out what these are for. The press runs fine without them since it has a multip step pulley on the motor and the spindle. My grandfather never used the other pieces anytime I was over there working with him. Any ideas?

FWIW, Delta made many DP accessories and spindles, trying to convince consumers the DP could be used for side-loaded operations it really shouldn't be used for - shaping, sanding, grinding, polishing, and so on. Most Delta bench DPs used the same spindles and pulleys, so yours should be interchangeable with the more common varieties.
FWIW, join the OWWM forum mentioned above and use their BOYD classified. Delta accessories sell for big bucks there. Someone paid $60 for the Delta accessory light. The last four working Delta DPs I bought for for $50 or less. One of them had a perfect accessory light.

I'm a member over at the OWWM Site...Post some pics, and I'll let you know whats up....

If it has a third step pulley, that was a "multi speed" attachment for dilling at an extra slow speed for metal...

Edit...Jack, whose also a member, beat me to it...

Also if the "DP290" is cast into it, that is just a part number...

Edit #2..the part "DP290" is the motor mount plate for a DP220 14" drill press

I will take some pictures tonight of the drill press and the drawer of other accessories or whatever they are. I don't plan on selling it since I need another drill press anyways and it does have some sentimental value. I will have to check out that other website/board. Thanks for the info. More to come tomorrow.

Oh, yeah. The DP290 marking when facing the front of the drill press is on the left hand side of the head casting. It would be a strange place to put a motor mount number but who knows.
