In my colllection of stuff, i have an older Devilbiss spray gun , P-CGA series 502. Used but clean. I looked to see about parts availability and couldn't easily find anything so perhaps it's not worth messing with. I can't remember when nor how i acquired the gun so i probably have next to nothing in it. I don't have an immediate need for a spray gun so curious if it's worth hanging onto or should i just buy a cheap new gun when i decide to paint something?

I always found those to be a phenomenal pain in the behind because they have the screw on narrow paint cup instead of the wide mouth clamping type one which is much easier to clean and to refill

Gravity guns are much easier to clean. It takes at least a pint of thinner to clean these suction type guns so I don't use them.

I'd hang onto it but then again I still have a Snap-on spray gun like that that I bought new in the mid-1980s and never used so maybe you're talking to the wrong guy lol. On a serious note I have a Devilbis gravity gun with the disposable cups and it's so much easier to work with then the old style siphon guns.

The

The $19.99 graviety guns from Harbor Freight work real good and if you don't want to clean it just toss it.
I have painted several trucks with them and they hold their own with the expensive guns. Just toss the little strainer
away, they are a PITA.
