First to admit, I know nothing of old tools. My Great Grandfather recently passed, and we have found tons of tools I can't identify. This one in particular stands out to me. It just has some personality that I like. Someone educate me. uploadfromtaptalk1440798147206.jpg

I'm not familiar with it, but it looks like it was made for drilling almost flush with a wall, or into a corner. It might have been used for installing wiring or gas lighting.

Some old walls had only an inch of space behind the plaster. A drill like that might have allowed the user to drill in that type of shallow space.
