Old drill press ID - is this a Delta?

The metal plate has nothing discernible on it, there's no marks in the casting and the only logos on it say Alfa... but it looks a bit like a Delta DP-220, as far as I can tell from the pics online of those drill presses. Can't find anything about vintage Alfa drill presses in my searches so far.

One handle has been unscrewed in that photo, there's normally three on the far side.

The motor was a Crompton Parkinson, so I'm guessing probably not original. Took it off so I could lift it up onto the bench - there's no way I was going to be able to move it otherwise.

I have yet to start pulling bits off and checking for part numbers etc.

I have tried to join over at owwm to find out more about it but no response from the admins yet re: new accounts.

Any advice is welcome!

The round table looks Asian to me. The plastic knobs as well

Definitely not Delta, or WT. Suspect it is Australian since you have it there. Table and mount do look somewhat Asian, but I don't really think that's where it was sourced.

Everything on it is in imperial, including the measurements on the table. More pics if that helps anyone - what does ASR stand for?

My google-fu has failed to produce a single result regarding the company name...

My guess is an older (1970's- early 1980's) drill press of Taiwan origin.

One word of advice if you join the OWWM and if, in fact, this is an Asian made drill press, don't post or ask about it. It will get the heave ho in a hurry.

Great group of people there. Don't want you to get off to a bad start.
