Old Dunlap 1/3hp motor wire identification

Hello all. I've got an old 1/3hp dunlap thermotron motor. There are four wires going in. Please see the pictures. I thought I'd ask this board before I put 120v on it. The two reddish orange ones are a little bigger or at least have more insulation. The end of the motor has a place for a thermal overload reset switch that isn't there. I'm wondering if maybe the black wires were for that switch that is now gone and the two red are my hot and neutral? I really don't know. Any help is appreciated. I think it's off an old drill press? I want to use it for a wet stone. Pic attached for interest sake. Thanks very much in advance. Marc

Before I say what I think the wires are...
What does the motor base look like? Was there a capacitor? A switch?

Here is the motor sitting on it's little base plate. That came separate and is not bolted to the motor yet. It sounds like you are onto something. There appears to be something missing off the base. The starting capacitor? I bought on ebay and the motor was listed as works fine so I don't understand unless I was outright deceived. I attached pics of the motor on the base and the baseplate alone. Thanks!

So, yeah. The thermal switch is missing, the on/off switch is missing, the cord is missing. I believe it is a cap start motor, so that's missing.

Thanks for the help. I got a similar response on owwm. I'm going to pull it apart and take a peek inside before I put power on it.
