I was just looking at ebay, researching some old tools, including some farm tools.

Usually, I am pretty good about figuring out the qualities that seperate a $10 tool from a $100 tool, but in this instance, I am hoping that someone here may be able to tell me what it is that I am missing.

Why are these 2 scythes selling for $130:

while other similar scythe tools are selling in the $10 range?

GASP! *runs out to the barn to see where the hell I put that old one*!

I have no clue. Neither seems unique compared to others listed. :dunno:

A scythe was a big old blade thing with a curved long handle with two other wooden handholds attached that you had to learn how to"pull" through with it,if it were sharp it cut pretty good if you got the swing-pull motion down just right, otherwise it didn't do too much.
