old Ford double open end wrench

Anyone have any info on this old wrench.I found it while going through one of my grandpa's old tool boxes that I inheritated when he passed.

It is a Model T transmission band adjusting wrench...note the thin jaws at larger end, that is for access to adjustment nuts, and that end of wrech is adjuster only...too light to use on fastener type applications, and so frequently found bent. Part of car's original toolkit.

Thanks for the info.It may be possible that this wrench belonged to my great grandfather.I don't recall my grandfather ever talking about owning a model t but I do remember him talking about my great grandfather having one when my grandpa was growing up.I need to dig out the rest of his tool boxes and see what else I can find.

There would have been pliers, another open end, a big double end that did sparkplugs and head nuts, screwdriver, short tire iron, jack at least in a new T. There were also lots of special wrenches sold both by Ford and by aftermarket for practically everything on the car...for instance, Ford and numerous others sold a ratchet version of the wrench you have (ratcheting box end) to make the adjustment faster.
