I’ve been spending time fixing up my small extra garage/rec
area. I’ve cleaned and sprayed paint on the walls inside, new
electric and so on.
Cobbs webs are coming right back. I put two fog bombs in there today. What do you guys do about cob webs?

You'll never keep up until you can get the spiders out of the building by sealing it up tight. I used to battle them in my attached garage until I sealed every crack, crevice and gap I could find. Now I get maybe one a month that probably just walks in when the overhead door is open.

Cob webs, for me, are a part of shop life. Every few months I hit the place with the long air wand and/or leaf blower to help clear them out, but the spiders are still there (somewhere)...lol

The fewer bugs you have, the fewer spiders you'll have, hence fewer cob webs. Keep your rec area bombed and the outside sprayed and even if the pesticides are not that effective on the spiders, the spiders will have less to make a living with, so to speak.

I actually have an appreciation for my spiders in my shop (maybe not the brown recluses in the loft) because they are there due to the bug population in my shop and certainly keep the flying insect population cut back. I'll take the spiders in the corners over that blasted horsefly buzzing my face under the truck with both hands busy, sweat in my eyes, a kink in my neck, and so on.

What kind of paint? I use a good quality semi-gloss paint on the walls. Spiders don't like it.
That would mean most people don't get spiders in their houses either and that simply isn't true. I mean most of us don't get a lot of spiders, but still.

I didn't say you wouldn't get spiders but the slick surfaces make it harder for spiders to build webs. It was a dramatic difference when I went from flat builder grade paint to semi-gloss.

My exterminator uses a "Webster" a ball shaped brush on a long pole (like a paint roller pole) to brush them down. After the webs are brushed down a spray is applied; if I were to ask he would tell me what the spray was made from.

The is an Ortho Home Defense Max spray in a can that I use. It is for indoor use also. Works great! After I vacuum up the webs I have sprayed this and they have not returned,...it's been 4 months now.
