I'm buying an old house that I will be closing on late January. The garage is 20'x20' with a 13'x20' shop in back. I think I remember the garage floor being descent concrete, but the shop floor is asphalt and uneven. I am planning to use the shop for a woodshop, so I need a flat surface to roll heavy tools on. Is re-doing the shop floor a DIY project? The only concrete work I've ever done is footings for a deck. Can I pour concrete over the uneven asphalt or am I asking for future trouble doing that? Thanks.
