Hi.

I have this old Gardner Denver compressor motor that I would like to restore.
Can anyone please indentify it for me? What model, year, application, and if parts are still available for this motor.

Thanks

Bruce

First off, that's not a motor, that's an air pump, possibly a refrigeration pump. you want to find out it's max RPM so you don't overdrive it with a high speed motor.

How big overall is that puppy?

Post your progress, its a cool one!

Just looked at the second pic. Its driven by a flat belt! it's got to be like turn of the century, maybe older! VERY cool!

Well yes it is a pump. My old Man made a compressor with the cylinder and all handmade.
This thing has been going for many years. Still goes ok but a bit tired by now!
I thought one of you American cousins would probably be able to indentify it and tell me a little more about it. It was made in the USA.
They don't make things like this anymore! Built to last and keep going forever.

The electric motor that drives it still works also, I thing that came from a old washing machine.
If someone could help to find out more about this thing it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Regards,

Bruce

Worked on Gardner Denver's all my life. I have one not restored in my office. It is painted up real pretty. No parts are available but if you're handy you could make the valve discs and probably get rings sized to fit the piston. Only tough part would pouring new Babbitt for the rod bearings. Not many people do that anymore.

Here is another pic of the pump... In hope of working out what at model it is and which year it may have been manufactured.
