This Motor came on a Craftsman 150 I picked up recently. I want to clean and lube it up before I start using it.Can anyone tell me if these are oil ports on this motor. I've tried finding some info on this motor. I'm striking out. Also it calls for SAE10. Not that common. I belive jack oil is about an SAE 10. I'm debating on just ordering a quart, I can't find any around here. Thanks for looking!!20200411_171738.jpg20200411_171640.jpeg

I wouldn't worry about type of oil in this case. Additives in the oil for sleeve bearings don't cause any problems.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware of that. I didn't put that motor on. Thats how I bought it. Its been that way for decades.

I've seen them on drill presses but I would be on the lookout for a better one.

It's SAE 20, but I use the 3inOne oil formulated for all small fractional sleeve bearing motors I come across.

Yeah, I had one on my C/M 150 for a good while.
Didn't have any issues.
Albeit, It didn't see a ton of use.
The one I had was sort of cool, It would be wired for 11XX RPM, or 1750 RPM,
so I wired a SPDT switch to it. For 2 selectable speeds.
