Ive recently began renting an older home with a detached garage/workshop out back and have came across quite a few older pieces of equipment. Some of the stuff here no longer has a purpose and can be removed from the building while Im in the process of fixing the place up. Theres specifically one item that I have idea what to do with.

The oil and grease guns are both still attached, but it looks like the hoses have seen better days. I was hoping one of you guys have any info on something like this such as a rough estimate on value or maybe a way to re-purpose it for something else. It seems to be in decent cosmetic shape, but it appears to have been unused for quite some time, so I have no idea if it works or not. Id like to get rid of it somehow so I can have it out of my way when I do some electrical and drywall work on the ceiling. Any help is appreciated.

Graco is a old name in oil and grease movement and storage. I used Graco drum pumps for many years and they're the standard of the industry. But after years I'm sure the seals and hoses become brittle mostly from their outside enviroment. I would be a little afraid of using something like you have just for the fact of a hose letting go and making a huge mess. It looks like the one you have was used on a more or less production basis and is probably something you don't need as an occasional need. Take it down and put it up for sale and go from there.

That is just the hose reels and hoses. The pumps and tanks were located in a back room most likely. Those are not worth much without the pumps. Take them down and clean and sell them it would take a lot to get them usable and unless you have the pumps they would not work anyway. If your were running a Quick Lube type of place you might could use them.

A cool find. They are actually rebuildable. Hoses can be made, new pumps purchased if they are gone, etc. The real issue is few cars today have zerk fittings, and they use lots of different weights of gear oil, engine oil, and transmission fluid.

If you want to re-purpose them then air and possibly a water hose comes to mind.

We have had these same reels in our shop for 40 years+ without a problem. 2 for oil, 1 for air. Have had to replace the hoses but none of the seals have leaked in them yet. I can't say that for the cheap hose reels they sell now.
