Old Grinder Identification

New to the forum and wondered if anyone had an idea as to the possible make of the attached bench grinder. Elderly man down the street passed and I grabbed a lot of tools as part of the estate sale. Looks like the capacitor and switch are missing and the unit was straight wired. Need to figure out the capacitor size but would like to id the make. Any ideas?

Can you take some light steel wool over the center strap and try to uncover any serial or model numbers to identify? It does not look familiar to me but it is older.

And disconnect the base from the motor. There may be some information under there.

Thanks. I did try cleaning the center strap but not with steel wool. Should have since that’s what I use to clean antique firearms. I figured at one time there was a bolted or riveted manufacturing plate on the base. I’ll pull the base off on Wednesday ‘cause I need to verify the wiring too

Looks like an old companion motor. Just pulled one out of the mud, just my opinion though.

Pulled the base and cleaned the housing with Kroil and steel wool. All I see is where two plates once existed ‘cause the rivets are still there. Looking at my other 2 grinders I see the start capacitors are similar size since they are both 1/2hp. I may just risk it and get one 100 mfd vs the 75 mfd since the motor looks a little bigger

Squirreltools hinted it might be a companion so I’ll check that out too
