Hello all! I am looking for a source for the hinges used on the cover(lid) on our Blackstone grill 22" inch. We got the model that has a lid or cover that you lift off and then hook onto the back of the griddle. I'm not too proud to say that I'm old and disabled and it's difficult for me to take the lid off and then put it back on.

I see some of their models DO have hinges that allow the lid or cover to simply be lifted up when using, and then dropped down when done. In fact, the 22" inch Blackstone that we have, has pre-drilled holes in both the (rear) sides of the griddle, as well as holes in the lid or cover. The only thing missing is the hinges.

So I am hoping that folks here can direct me to a place or source to get some hinges that will work. (Blackstone hasn't been any help). I'm still recovering from septic Shock so i can't sit at the computer for a long stretch hunting down hinges that would work.

Thanks in advance to all who help!

Go with the BBQ ration hinged-lid kit made for the 22″ Blackstone, this is the closest to a direct, plug-and-play solution. It’s straightforward, likely to fit properly, and leaves your hands free

Black stone does not offer hinges for this model

Thanks. I was hoping to just find the hinges by themselves. Any idea of where I can get just the hinges?
From my Knowledge they do not offer hinges or make them for this, this is why i gave you the option for the conversion

I can try and do that. Not real steady on my feet so holding a camera could be a challenge. I'll probably have to wait till someone comes home and ask for their help.

Guy who modified his shows you have to cut and peel back part of the lid to use the existing holes, or it won't pivot open and it will hit the grease trap:

Another guy made L bracket hinges so the pivot point is altered:

Neither looks like a perfect solution.

If you look at the BBQration model that gmcgeo suggested, you will see how the back of their lid is designed to clear the griddle lip and grease trap:

I have no personal experience with it, but it appears to be a modified top that bolts on the existing holes.

Google BBQration 22" and you will see it on Amazon.

I get why you want to find just some hinges, but if you watch the videos I posted you will see the challenges there.

We have the 36" with just the lift lid.
I never lift it all the way.
Pick it up in the front about 2 inches enough to clear the griddle top and just slide it back until the hooks catch and then continue lifting the front once the hooks /cleats gets hold and just let the hooks provide a pivot point.
I do wait until its cooled off before placing it back on.
To put it back i pull down and let it pivot , then slide it forward.
Maybe only lifting a pound or so.

OK Thanks. I notice on the video for the instructions for the BBQration 22" that they use a bolt with a washer and an acorn nut. Of course the hard top is lifted and the back of the hardtop is cut so that it can fit around the back of the griddle as its lifted.
