Old hand drill ID

It's rather heavy. No markings at all. Looks rough but all alone free and works. Not sure the exact name of it or who makes it. Looks like a lot of manual labor involved lol.

This was a close quarters drill made for drilling next to a wall or cabinet side. They work great and not a lot of work if the auger bits are sharp. Stanley and others made that type of drill.

Millers Falls made an angle adapter for a bit brace to do the same thing, found one last year, pics here http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293668 That close quarter bit brace is way cool.

I just bought one of those at a second-hand store for $20 but in nicer condition. Also they were used to drill through wall and ceiling joists. Google is your friend - especially if you can get some data off of the unit.

When the next massive solar storm hits and wipes out our electrical grid, it will become very valuable!
