Got a really old furnace - checked it out yesterday and the little knob that goes from On/Off/Pilot seems to not turn. I can push it down with no problems - I took the knob off and can't even see how it would ever turn.

This is the best picture I could take of it - it is made by Honeywell - just has 24v in, and 2 gas lines off - i asume to a thermocoupler and to the burners.. seems soo basic yet i can'tsee how to get the knob turned.

Grant did ya get it working and if so do you have a carbon monoxide detector .

I know those big old monsters had a heavy heat exchanger in them but I have pulled them out only to find the top of the heat exchanger was rusted badly .

Let me know if you need any more info . Not sure how far you are from Louisville but theres a couple supply houses here that may have that valve if it doesnt want to work.

Hey Grant again no problem . You may want to hit Home depot and grab a thermocoupler just in case if the gas has been off for any length of time .Knowing that furnace I would recomend a 36" thermocouple . They are easy to change if needed .
