Old industrial WEBO drill press

Hello everyone I’m pretty new here but I have been reading up on some old machines in other threads and you all seem so helpful so first off I’ll introduce myself, I’m Troy a 23 yr old tyre fitter and love to keep busy alright now that’s done I’ll discuss the machine in my possession

So recently my dad passed away and he had some really cool industrial machines I’m trying to identify the value of this industrial WEBO drill press it’s a 3 phase and I don’t know too much else about it other than it’s cast iron, there’s stamps on here stating it was built in bruchsal Germany.

Thanks mate, was way too sudden. hopefully someone has some knowledge on here I’m not sure I might keep it but I don’t even know what’s involved in getting 3 phase to work but I’d be willing to

Would require a VFD to run it, depending on where in the world you are. It's a 50 Hz motor.

Would think its worth £200 or so (if its in the UK like I think it is), not a particularly useful machine being that it has virtually no column length left, originally drills like this the column drops down through the bench top when the drill is fully lowered like it is, I expect the column has been cut short.

would need a VFD, rotary phase converter or static phase converter to run on single phase, that's only if the motor can be changed to lower voltage.

you could in theory use a VFD as Dutchgrey stated and add a transformer to get to 415VAC. But this would probably only make sense if the drill had sentimental value and you really wanted to keep it.

There is a youtube channel, Haxby Shed, in which he gets a vfd setup. Being in England, it might give more relatable ideas region-wise on what you need.

All I can offer is not to be in a rush selling before things settle in for you.
