I have searched here and on ebay looking for photos of these boxes but have found nothing.

I remember all of the old Indy mechanics had small tool boxes in the pits with them that had clips inside the lids that held their most used tools at hands reach. I always thought thes boxes were cool. The orginization always impressed me. I am not sure who made them or if they were custom made by the mechanics.

If any one knows what I am talking about please chime in. I would love to see some pictures of some or find out any info on who might have nade them.

Thanks for any info anyone has.

That is a good use of a toolbox lid. Looks like most of the clips are mounted on a board of some kind. Wonder how the board is mounted to the lid?

Look closely at the 2nd pic in this link. http://garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=848953&postcount=24
The red box with the "reynard" sticker is what I'm referring to. On the bottom left of the board I see a bolt coming from the outside of the box. It's just below the extension. If you look real close on the RH side you can see what appears to be the edge of the top & bottom bolt.
