Old Lathe pics

Got this old lathe a couple years ago from the estate of my wife's late uncle. Decided to put a motor I had laying around and some new belts on it and get it turning. Runs pretty good still need to get the auto feed working. Not sure what I will use it for but it is a cool old machine. Anyone have an idea of Manufacturer or guesses on an age? No data plates or names to be found.

Couldn't tell you the make, but it's very early- like 1880s. The four holes on the front of the headstock probably originally had brass maker's badges, but they were swiped at some point in it's history.

Keep in mind the spindle runs on plain bearings- keep them well and constantly lubed. Oil, not grease!

I concur with Doc. Lathe is probably from sometime between 1870 to 1890, maybe even older, certainly not newer. I've no idea who the manufacturer was. For some reason, many of the really old lathes don't have manufacturer's ID on them.
