Now I have been restoring and tractor show displaying old Lawn Boys for over 20 years but the first time I've seen a tool bag like this. It took a little repair but from all the years out looking for tools. This beats the cake.

Pretty awesome. As a kid, I used to mow lawns around the neighborhood to earn money for school. I used the family Lawn Boy, and it was really reliable. Thanks for the memories.

You've got a lot going on there in that display-- how 'bout posting up some more photos?

My BIL is a landscaper I remember helping him for a few weeks each summer as a kid. All he ran were 2 stroke lawn boys and he rode them pretty hard. Probably did 20 lawns a day five days a week so guessing he had about 100 accounts. He always kept a couple extra mowers in the trailer in case one went down. Those mowers seemed to run forever.

Yea. They are tough if you use a little common sense. I have mowers made back in the 50s still running like new. I will get some pics this week. Got Drs a few days.

Curious what fuel ratio are you running? My current (modern) spec 50:1. I’ve been running 30’ish:1 and no fouled plugs.

Most Of the older LB Mowers are two ring pistons so 32 to 1 is what is recommended and works great. If you have an older which is 3 ring piston you would want 16 to 1. I have always stuck to the recommendations and they run great. The big issue is the new gas. I run non ethanal gas.
