Picked up this Locker/Cabinet today from Craigslist. It is 26" W, 72" T, 17" D. Not really looking for another cabinet but have been looking at it on CL for a few days and figured it was worth a look. Bought it for $40. I like the handles that can be locked with a regular padlock. The shelves are removable. Not sure how old it is but found a partial envelope rolled up behind one of the drawers with a 1945 post mark on it. My dog Abby hanging out.

Sweet cabinet. I personally think you got a great deal at $40. That is cool how it is basically the same floor space as a standard 27" tool box.

Abby is a 2 year old that came from a shelter down South. She is a Plot Hound/Lab mix. I did some reading before we got her on Plot hounds and knew she would be hard to train. My wife complains that she does not listen well, sometimes snaps at strangers, and overall does not behave, but is sometimes loving. I laughed when I realized she could have been describing me. As far as the cabinet not sure what to do with it. Like I said was not really looking anymore stuff. But figured for $40 I could easily sell it at some point. It does have a lot storage in a small footprint.

That's WWII-vintage US Navy locker section from a ship's berthing compartment.

Now you can pretend you're in the old Navy. Put it in an airless and preferably very warm and humid clothes closet. Put your belongings in one of the three locker sections. Climb up on the top shelf of the closet, and try to sleep while somebody stands outside the closet, yelling, and occasionally slamming the closet door. :lol_hitti

Indeed it is a U.S. Navy personal belongings locker. On the ships I was on, only senior enlisted had them (a tin can, 80+ man berthing compartment), usually p.o.2 and above, and like military life, the top belonged to the most senior, cascading downwards in rank. Also had them in boot at Great lakes, the unlockable kind.
