Same Here, I almost recently bought a complete set and even after handling them i thought they where Bonney produced.

i am pretty sure that style of mac wrench was made after bonney went out of business. the mac has a much more square beam while the bonney is thinner and rounder.

AFAIK, it was the old Matco wrenches that were made by Bonney... hasn't Mac always made their own wrenches? I could be wrong but thats what I thought I remembered... the old Matco's has the rounded handle and "v" on the open end.... am I right? Of course; historically, Matco/Mac hand linkages before they split up...

Can someone post some pics of the ones Bonney made? I would like to see exactly what to look for in case I come across any in the "wild".And maybe a little description of what item #'s and telltale signs to look out for would be great.

+1. Listen to sk farmer, he is our resident Bonney expert and has an awesome collection of Bonney wrenches. I'm so jealous.

Ya those are good looking wrenches. I've got a Matco set made by Bonney, that I can't seem to sell, but they look and feel like a top of the line wrench

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
I love Bonney wrenches so much, I just took 7 sets out of my collection and placed them in my boxes along with my Matco/Bonney wrenches. I figured I would use them, instead of just save them for whoever would get them if I went to the big garage in the sky.

You got to be kidding. Those wrenches are like gold and folks in the know appreciate the value of them. They are simply, the best feeling wrenches in your hand that anyone has produced. Let me know and I will find you buyers or buy them myself.

They remained in production after Bonney were closed. If that wrench has an R suffix part # it was definitely made after Bonney folded.
