Just wondering if Canadian tire tools (Mastercraft) was once USA made? Have some old Mastercraft 3/8" ratchets and there is a US patent stamp on them , any idea ?

I have a number of old Mastercraft stuff and it's all Gray. I have some Gray wrenches and they are literally identical except for the branding (size/shape/weight, design). Not sure who would've made those ones, though. Mastercraft tended to source from Canada where possible up until some time in the 80s from what I have seen in their tools.

Rob, can we see the whole ratchet? Is it the round head with the center lever?

If so, that patent # looks like it belongs to Stanley and the ratchet probably an Asian import.

There are very old Mastercraft raised panel wrenches that were made by Barcalo in USA. I assume it is the same Mastercraft.
