I have this oldie from matco. I think 1979 judging by the “79” stamped on the top box(?)
I’d like to get a set of locks someday for it, and some new slides for a few drawers that bent.
Is any of this stuff still produced? Did matco make these boxes themselves or were they done by Waterloo?
I’m pretty sure I’m this era, matco was the supplier for tool boxes to Mac salesmen, and of course I’ve seen a bunch of Mac boxes that look exactly like these ones

Waterloo. I have a few Matco boxes of this vintage and called Waterloo when I needed replacement drawer slide clips.

Emailed matco and waterloo.
Matco said the slides are discontinued, and Waterloo said they DIDNT build these boxes.
They say they made the boxes with the crescent shaped handles

That box was made by the Mac allied tool company. They supplied boxes to Mac and when Mac allied split from mac and became Matco, they continue to make them. Tool boxes is the only thing matco has made themselves in years.

It looks like it has lock cylinders in the picture? If so there are a number of toolbox key cutters on eBay that could probably make what you need. Otherwise you could order a cylinder or take them to a locksmith. I've gone all three routes with my boxes and ordering cut keys is the cheapest. Having a locksmith cut keys for your cylinder was the most expensive.

I have the one cylinder removed and it’s sitting in a drawer of my krl1022 I think. The locks would be nice eventually but the box stays at home (I’m a tech but as a side hobby sort of thing I refurbish drum kits so the Matco is just stuffed full of drum Parts right now)
Anyway I thought stupidly that these old boxes could hold a lot of weight like the new ones do and i climbed on one of the lower drawers to get to something high up.. tweaked the sliders. Duh move by me.
I can probably just take it apart and straighten the slide. The locks matco actually daidthey can set me up with
