I don't need the box but a buddy of mine called me and said it was his dad's and wants to sell it, these are the only pics I have tonight, I'm going to go see the tools this weekend, but I don't think he wants to mess with parting it out, it's loaded with tools he said. Is this box worth anything, BAll park wag( wild *** guess) from these crappy pics. Box worth anything if drawers are smooth?

anyone

Roth

Any ideas

That looks like to be a 33" wide box. It looks nice from what I see. Its a friction slide box, but those are built like a tank. I think $500 empty is a fait price.

I have the exact box. Bought it new in 1975 or 1976 for around 900 dollars for top and bottom. The only improvement I wish it had is roller draw slides. It is very solid toolbox.

just picked up that side box from a guy on CL with minor paint issues for $100 and we both thought it was a fair price. Agreed I wish it was roller slides (3 drawers in behind the door) but it's very good quality none the less - weighs more than my early 90's Craftaman top chest!

Matco Imperial box. I have my father's top box, same one. Wish he had never gotten rid of the bottom. I'd still like to find one. Don't come up often in my area.

Imperial series MB910 top and MB920 bottom with MB503 side cabinet. I have two of each, built like brick shithouses. I agree only improvement would be roller bearing slides.

And full length drawer pulls . Later on they did offer them with BB slides and full length drawer pulls.

A grand? Half for the box, half for tooling.

You are willing to pay $500 on tools alone based on one drawer of wrenches and hammers?

The side has 2 drawers - 1 adjustable. Pretty clean but I don't need the box, anyone in south Florida want the box for about 350?
