I have av vary old montgomery ward 230 amp welder how much are they worth today

That's kind of like saying I have an old Ford v8 car. What's it worth. A picture would help you get some responses. I paid $85 for a old MW welder that was a 230 amp welder for what its worth.

If it is AC output, good leads, ground clamp and electrode holder, maybe $75-100 tops.

If it needs new leads, it is probably scrap metal or see if anyone you know wants a welder and let them have it free/super cheap.
