I just bought this little treasure. It was in a box with a bunch of assorted wrenches and sockets (mostly truck brands).

Not only does it work well, it has the plug included. It was an early Christmas.

The average price for everything in the box was less than $1.00 per item

I have a Craftsman 1/4" example. I've never run across a None Better 1/4" version.

Nice score! New Britain made essentially the same ratchet under Craftsman, None Better, and Husky brands:

Not in the 1/4" drive, they didn't.

I believe you at least partially incorrect. There is a pic of the Craftsman version of that ratchet in 1/4 drive at the bottom of the ratchet section of the link above, as well as a quite similar 1/4 drive Husky. There are numerous pics of the 1/4 drive Cman version at this page:

And several pics of a 1/4 drive None Better version on this page:

You may be partially correct.

I am totally confused by this exchange.

It's my understanding that the New Britain empire made the same exact style and mechanically functional ratchet in all three drive sizes (1/4, 3/8, and 1/2), with all brandings: New Britain, NONE BETTER, Husky, Craftsman BE, and Craftsman (H). If Unaiu is referring to the open style ratchet, that only came in 1/4-inch drive. But there are 1/4-inch drive versions of the other style.

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
