So I cleaned out a corner of my Garage and staged a photo shoot for my recently cleaned up grinder. It's totally original but was just totally filthy, took it apart and gave it an OCD style cleaning. I think it looks pretty slick by the drill press.

ST: i'm pretty sure if you want to find out the exact date all you have to do is take off the bottom plate and it should be stamped inside. take a look at the Craftsman block thread if you need a little more information on your grinder.

i'm guessing early 60's Craftsman commercial 1/2 HP with the metal light and holders for the shields is a keeper. it also has a lot of power and probably as much power as some of the new 3/4 and 1 HP grinders that are sold today.

very nice looking and clean work space. almost too nice to get dirty and do some work.

speaking of which if you use your nice grinder much you might want to get a stand or swap spots with your DP because it will churn out a mess of fine dust on that nice bench.

Drivesitfar: Thanks for the kind words. I'm not too concerned about the exact date of the thing, I'm just sick of paying to have my mower blades sharpened. About the grinder dust, I didn't create this space to keep it perfect, it just looks that way right now:D

Steevo: That's what I was going for! Thanks!
