Old Oxygen Cylinder Hydro Dates

I was looking at downsizing as part of my upcoming move and was really surprised of some dates I found on some compressed cylinders. I have 3 sets of Oxy/Acet tanks. The two sets I have here are marked US Army. The Acet tanks have it engraved in the tank and the one is dated 2/51, the other wasn't that old.

The two oxygen cylinders have raised lettering around the collar. One says United States Army and has the earliest hydro date of 1957. The second tank is marked United States Army (Star) Army Air Forces (Star). The earliest hydro date is 12/43!!

Was surprised I had one this old. Anybody else have early hydro dates like this especially marked military?

Not marked military but I had some old dates from the 40's & 50's. Two tanks that I had bought were the old 20# pencil tanks they were the oldest ones. In the 90's they wouldn't hydro test them anymore.

In school we had one marked US Army Balloon Corps.

Local scrapper had some that had swastikas that had been marked over crudely. Don't recall dates on those...but have to be old.

I was a "pumper" in a fill plant. We kept track of the oldest hydro stamp we saw. The oldest, I recall, was a 1913.
We all saw the US military cylinders but not real often.

Whenever I go to exchange bottles I ask if he has any really old ones. One time he showed me one of the ******** marked ones.

I have seen some as old as the 1920s.

I have a couple of propane tanks from the 40s,, One looks like those big balls that floated in the ocean that went boom when a ship touched it
