they came from my grandfather's backyard. They have been in my garage for a while and I wanted to finally find out how old they are.

They're all from 1967 except for the last one, it's from 1968.

Probably a small fortune in scrap aluminum there! :spit: J/K!

I've got my dad's old 1/2" drill like that with the aluminum case. It'll either rip your arm off, or rip the power cord in half!

They were all used pretty hard, probably grandad was a tradesman?

Occasionally, at an estate sale, I'll come across an old power tool new in the box or like new. Probably a retiring husband was given it as a birthday present, hoping he'd take the hint and do some chores around the house. Too late to change him then.

Unfortunately, the like-new-old-tools are always the cheapest homeowner models, never the professional grade.

But, I would say that the quality would still be better than the new 'homeowner grade' tools, that are made in China.
